    Hello Travelgamma,

No problem, in that case you will need to buy a reservation for a 1st class seat, plus an upgrade ticket: http://www.myswissalps.com/tr ain/practical/2nd1stcl ass.

Trying to figure out if the swiss travel pass is best. When buying train ticket from Frankfurt to Lauterbrunnen do we just buy a ticket to Bern and then use the travel pass to Interlaken and onto Lauterbrunnen?

    Hi Travelgamma,

You would only need a train ticket from Frankfurt to Basel not Bern.

Yes, the easiest option is to just buy a ticket to Basel and then once you are in Switzerland the Swiss Travel Pass will cover any train on to Lauterbrunnen.
