    Hello,

I am planning to travel on July 29 from Milan to Lucerne.

This is my first experience on European trains.

Is it cheaper to buy ticket in advance rather than buying at the train station.

    Thank you in advance.

    Alex

    Hi Alex,

Yes, buying tickets for international trains is often cheaper when bought in advance. You can buy tickets from Milan to Luzern here.

You may also want to look at a Swiss rail pass if you are planning on using local transit frequently during your stay in Switzerland (covers most trains, boats, buses etc in all of the country, or just certain regions depending the on the pass you buy).

Let me know if you have further questions!

    Lucas
