Hi Lisadee,
You can use boats, buses etc. for free when you’re not using the train, however, it will be counted as one travel day. So if it’s only a short trip by bus, it might not be worth using the pass.
Do you mean if the Swiss Travel Pass has anything more than 4 days but less than 8? The answer is no. Would poin-to-point tickets be an option for your first and last day? Combined with a 3 day Swiss Travel Pass? Have you read our webpage on how to select the best rail pass: http://www.myswissalps.com/tr ain/ticketspasses/prac tical/chooserailpass.

>> Does the regular travel pass have anything more than 4 days.? 8 days is too much? we will be there for 6 days
It could very easily turn out that an 8-day Swiss Travel Pass would be the cheapest option, even if you are only using it for 6 days.
Effective daily cost of passes (adult, 2nd class)
- Swiss Travel Pass 4 days – CHF 67.50 per day
- Swiss Travel Pass 8 days (but only used for 6 days) – CHF 66.33 per day
- Swiss Travel Pass Flex 4 days – CHF 77.50 per day
So it is definitely worth going through the process recommended by Chantal to find out what is most economical for you.
