Hello,

I will be in switzerland from March 9th through March 14th. I am staying in Lauterbrunnen from March 9th till March 11th and plan to visit Jungfrouch and Schilthorn. I plan to stay in zurich from March 11th till March 14th and plan to visit Mount Titlis and Rhine falls and black forest region.

Can you please advise based on my itenerary if it makes sense for me to take a travel pass and if so which one. We are party of 2 adults, 1 senior and 1 eight year old.

Thank you and Regards,

Girish

Hi Girish,

Welcome to MySwissAlps!

Based on your itinerary, a Swiss Travel Pass or a Swiss Half Fare Card may work best for you. To be sure, you should download the handy spreadsheet and do the numbers as explained here: www.myswissalps.com/train/ticketspasses/practical/chooserailpass

Please use the timetable to plan your journey: www.myswissalps.com/timetable

For information about the different railpasses available, use the links below:

Kids 6 to 15 years old travel along free with the Swiss Family Card, which is given complimentary when you purchase one of the Swiss Travel System railpasses. Details here: www.myswissalps.com/swissfamilycard

Regards,

Anna

If you plan to visit the Black Forest you may need www.myswissalps.com/traintickets/germany.

A Swiss Travel System pass will only get you as far as the German border.
