Hello Michele and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

Nice to hear you’re coming along to explore the Bernese Oberland.

For details on the two passes you mention please see the below links:
    http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass
    http://www.myswissalps.com/re gionalpassberneseoberl and

Additionally have a look at the Jungfrau Travel Pass, an even slightly more local pass to the area.

I would consider getting any pass only for 4 days and looking at a Saver Day Pass for the days of arrival and departure:

To support detailed comparison of all of these options, find a very helpful spreadsheet in below link:

Happy calculating and get back to us anytime for further input.

Btw, you’ll find lots of input on most destinations you mention by typing them into the search bar of this page.

    Best,
    Steph

Also, thank you for recommending the Jungfrau Travel Pass, that will work out quite nicely. Question, after I purchase, then go into Interlaken to trade for a ticket, does the pass activate that day? So for instance, if I get a 4 day pass and pick up the pass on Sunday afternoon, is Sunday considered the first day of the pass, or if there an option to “activate” the following day?

    Hi Michelle,

You’ll need to pick the start date during purchase: http://www.myswissalps.com/ju ngfrautravelpass/price.
