Hi ! We will stay at Grindelwald on 25-26/8/2017 and now planning for our trip to Jungfraujoch. We have our STP and come to have the following questions:

    1. Since Aug is a high season in tourism , will be very overcrowded and require to book the ticket in advance?

    2. Where can we buy the tickets?

    3. What is the ‘morning session ‘ ticket? Any limitation in the travel?

    4. Usually, is it good to go up the high alps areas in the morning?

    5. We are a group of eight, what is the best route to go up from Grindelwald?

Thank you for the assistance and kind advice from you all.

    Ms. Lai So Fun

    Good morning,

    1. It can be busy in August, buying tickets ahead of time isn’t a bad idea but don’t do it too early (wait until you know the weather is good)
    2. You can buy them online here or at any rail station office
    3. Yes, the limit is leaving the top before 1pm – your Swiss Travel Pass gives you an almost identical discount and there are no limitations
    4. The best time to go is when there are no clouds – this could be the morning or later in the day
    5. There is only one route from Grindelwald – explained here

I hope that helps Ms. Lai So Fun!
