We will be staying in Murren during our visit to Switzerland. We will be taking a 8 days Swiss Travel Pass.

Will our commute from Interlaken to Murren be free on this pass ? I understand it will involve Cableways, will there be montain train as well? Validity of pass on these mode please?

    Hi YashFamily –

    Second reply-

If you zoom in on the map *.pdf on that link, and study the key on the right, you will see that travel to Mürren is free with the Swiss Travel Pass.

The logic is that Mürren is a poulation center, and thus has free access on public transport with the STP, even though it invoves a cable car and a mountain railway, or the bus then cable car up from Stechelberg.

    Hi Yash Family-

    Please look here:

It is a good time to visit. Just at the end of the Summer season. September is -on average- the best month, but early October is similar. By the end of October, many tourist facilities have closed for between-seasons break.
