I have recently bough Swiss Half Fare Cards for myself and my wife as well as a Family Card for my kid. I was booking tickets for Jungfrau and was able to get 50% off on tickets for myself and my wife. However, I did not see any option to buy ticket for my kid who is supposed to travel free as he is below 15. I have read on some forums that you don’t need to buy tickets for the kids and they can travel in trains and other public transport within Switzerland without any ticket. They just need to show the Family Card along with the Swiss Half Fare Cards of the parents. Is this correct or am I missing something? TIA!!

Hi Rishagraw

According to the Jungfraujoch site, your son will need a Junior travelcard, but the Swiss Family Card covers the ride as well, so that’s the way to go (it’s free). All trips you can buy tickets for using your Swiss Half Fare Card are free for your children: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isshalffarecard/validi ty. You do not need further tickets for them.
