    Hi,

Does the travel period also have to be within April 1 – June 30? or Can it be used for a longer period till Dec 2016? How early can I purchase the swiss rail pass and how long is it valid for?

    Hi msrajey,

You can order at least a year before traveling. You do have to pick your first travel day when you order.

    Hi leeeng,

This is only offered by the mentioned website. Even without the discount it would be more convenient to buy the Swiss Travel Pass (not Swiss Pass) online as you can print it at home and start traveling immediately instead of having to visit a ticket office.

    Hi Arno,

May I know if the swiss travel pass (the pass for 3/4/8/15 consecutive days) can be used to travel from the airport to the city area and from the city area back to the airport after my trip? Or do I need to buy a separate swiss transfer ticket? Thanks.

    Hi ytpng,

The Swiss Travel Pass is valid nearly everywhere, including any mode of public transport to the various airports: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/validity. Please open a new thread if you have further questions about this, as the current thread is just about the promotion. Thank you!

Hi, I’m traveling to Switzerland in 2 weeks and I’m planning to buy Swiss Travel pass but I’m so confused of how to buy. I plan to buy online but how do I get the pass? Some said can print at home, others said have to deliver home? Please advise…

    Hi eweilynn, welcome to MySwissAlps!

Well, they are all correct: you can print it at home or have it delivered, depending on where you buy and which shipping option you choose. All options are listed here. As you live in Singapore it makes sense to either buy through http://www.raileurope.com.sg/ pass/swiss-travel-pass-82 or http://www.swissrailways.com/ en. Both can e-mail the pass so you can print it at home.

    Hi techo, welcome to MySwissAlps,

No, nothing for US travelers at the moment. We list all promotions (based on where you live) on myswissalps.com/ swisstravelpass/ promotions, so you can keep an eye on that page. We also post about new promotions in the forum.

There is a US promo for tickets from France to Switzerland: myswissalps.com/ traintickets/france/ promotions.

    Hi,

Will the Swiss Half Fare card bought during this promotion be valid for use between 19 June 2017 – 5 July 2017? How long is a card valid once it’s purchased?

    Thanks.

    Hi traveljet,

You can buy passes for up to 6 months before traveling. That’s the regular limitation; not related to this promotion. So unfortunately you can’t buy for 2017 yet.

    Hi Arno,

Thank you so much! Thats great to hear! Just to confirm or maybe you could advice which pass is best for me. My train travel will be Munich to Interlaken, Interlaken to Jungfraujoch, Interlaken to Zurich. Another question is, once I have this pass, do i still need to reserve a train ticket or I just hop on any train that goes to my destination? Thank you very much!

    Hi Annzo27,

The best pass depends on a lot of factors, like the duration of your stay, the day trips you have planned, and the easy of use you prefer. Most people pick either a Swiss Travel Pass or a Swiss Half Fare Card. In either case you also need a ticket from Germany to the Swiss border. The below pages will help you out. Please feel free to open a new thread if you have further questions about this.
