    Hi

We are going to lauterbrunnen in june 2018 for 5days.

We want to visit Lucern, Thun ,burne, Grindewald plus waterfulls and mountains.

We are finding the trains expensive and don’t want to be ties to a travel pass.

How much are the cable cars?

We are also staying at the Eurocamp in a safari tent. Any experiences staying here?

    Many thanks Lian

Hi Lian, and welcome to MySwissAlps,

If you find the trains expensive you’ll probably fall off your chair when you discover some of the prices for cable cars.

The best thing to do is to check the prices of all your planned train, bus, gondola, boat tickets (you plan to take) and do the math to compare prices. We have a page here on how to choose the best rail pass (or not) that has a spreadsheet to help you. You need to download the spreadsheet. In the spreadsheet there are links to websites where you can look for prices.

I don’t have any experience with Eurocamp. Sorry.

    Jungfrau Travel Pass? Here’s the 2018 version http://www.jungfrau.ch/en-gb/jungfrau-travel-pass/ 🤓

Interesting it doesn’t show Stechelberg to Schilthorn or Lauterbrunnen to Grütschalp on the validity map.

    Hi Rockoyster,

Indeed the Schilthorn cable car has never been included in the Jungfrau Travel Pass unfortunately. Lauterbrunnen – Grütschalp – Mürren is included though. You’ll find the latest map here: http://www.myswissalps.com/ju ngfrautravelpass/valid ity

    Hi Arno.

I missed the Grütschalp link. Too many dots representing Lauterbrunnen. I got a bit cross-eyed. 🤓
