We caught the train to Engelberg and a bus to the gondola station. We had a gondola to ourselves, which was wonderful as we could see and appreciate and take photos of all the scenery easily. After this we changed to the Rotair, the revolving cable car. This was pretty crowded and not such a nice experience.

The scenery at Mount Titlis was astounding as it usually is at all these mountain tops. Luckily I didn’t get altitude sickness again. We walked over the Cliff Walk and through the Glacier Cave tunnelled under the glacier.

On the way down in the gondola a man got in with us and talked loudly and incessantly on his phone, disturbing the serenity. So we hopped off that gondola and walked down to see Truebsee.

This turned out to be a good idea as a walk partly around the lake took us to a seat with no other people around and a lovely view.

This was a great excursion day and I thought it was on a par with the Schilthorn and the Jungfraujoch.
