    Experts

Looks like I have to wait couple of more weeks before I can book my paris train. In the mean time, I am trying to book the golden pass panorama

from Interlaken OST(I am assuming East is OST) to Montreux. On their website, it asks me to book the tickets for the date and time I wanted.

    1) Which side of the train should I reserve the seats as I dont want us to miss the scenery around there? I maybe taking some good pictures.

1a) With HFC or full pass, do I need to reserve and give the pass information to get the credit? This is a big question for me.

    2) I am planning to reach Montreux by 12 pm from Lauterbrunnen. Is it good to go to Geneva, have lunch there and roam around or Is it better to spend that time in Montreux, going around the town and having food there? I am planning to take TGV from Geneva to Paris in the evening so that I can spend time in one of these places.

    3) Can I leave the luggage in the train station in one of the above places as I dont want to lug it around.

    Thanks once again

    1. We talk about which side of the train you should book on our route description of the Golden Pass here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/goldenpass/getti ngthere – the right side is maybe a little nicer most of the time.
    2. You don’t need to reserve any section of the Golden Pass route but I would consider reserving Montreux to Zweisimmen (or reverse) during the summer. You do not need to have bought any ticket or rail pass before buying the reservation. https://www.myswissalp s.com/goldenpass/packa ges
    3. I’d stay in Montreux and explore there: https://www.myswissalp s.com/montreux/activit ies.
    4. Sure. You can leave it in a locker at Montreux station – about 6/7 chf (bring coins!)

Thanks Lucas. So, the reservation they are talking about on http://www.goldenpass.ch/en/g oldenpass/offer/view?id=14 is just for reserving seats but not tickets. Is my statement correct?

I am going from Interlaken to Montreux (so I have to reserve the seats from Zeisimmen to Montreux correct?).

    Thanks once again.

Yes, reservations are extra, above the cost of a ticket (or rail pass if you are using one). There is not credit as you mentioned before.

Reservations are recommended between Zweisimmen and Montreux but not mandatory.
