We will be staying in Interlaken for six days from July 20th 2017 and have a Swiss Rail Pass. Is it necessary to booked tickets to Jungfrau ahead of time or can we be assured of getting seats if we book once we arrive in Interlaken on July 20th.

As a trip to Jungfraujoch is entirely weather-dependent do NOT book ahead of time.

Look at the weather forecast the day before you want to go and if the outlook is clear skies simply buy your ticket the day before. In the last couple of years the trains have sold out during July and August but only for those that try to buy mid-morning of the day they want to make the trip. You will be fine the day before.

Thank you so much for your help I feel confident now to wait until we get there to buy our tickets.
