VAT at Italian/Swiss border entering Switzerland

    Hi, Everyone!

    Does anyone know if VAT forms can be stamped at the border on the road from Como going toward Interlaken by car…..somewhere around Chiasso, I’m thinking…
    If not, do you know where the last point would be going from Italy, an EU country into Switzerland.

    I reslize this is a Swiss Alps site (which I’m very happy to have found!) but thought someone may know.

    Hi Karen,

    Welcome to MySwissAlps! There is a customs office just before Chiasso, still on Italian soil: http://www.pwebapps.ezv.admin .ch/apps/dst/dst/print ?id=386&lang=4. They are open 24/7 but I am not sure whether they handle VAT forms. I would guess they do.
