    Hello-

We are vegetarian and traveling through Switzerland. Is it difficult to find food that we can eat? Are there any excellent Vegetarian/Vegan restaurants in any location ?

    Thank you

    Hi Poncedelon,

That’s no problem at all. There are vegetarian options in almost all restaurants, and supermarkets offer plenty as well. Please also see http://www.myswissalps.com/ab outswitzerland/culture history/food. There are not many restaurants that offer vegetarian good only though. Most offer meat, fish and vegetarian dishes.

    Hi,

The oldest vegetarian restaurent in the world is in Zürich. The Haus Hiltl was established in 1898 and is just off the Bahnhofstrasse. hiltl.ch/en/

    Cheers
