In Lucerne at the train station, 1st floor next to SBB office, is Tibits. We ate there. You pay 4.30 chf per 100 grams and there are plenty of vegetarian choices.

One can also download HAPPY COW app to find vegetarian places.

We also used COOP to pick up food on the go.

Hello NeeluGarg,

How nice of you to share this information about vegetarian restaurants in Lucerne with everybody. I think personal recommendations are always worth a lot!

Tibits is one of my favourite vegetarian restaurants too, quite widely spread throughout the country and good quality food.

Thanks again.

Best,
Steph

We ate at an Indian restaurant only once.
Thali House in Zurich. Food was like homemade.

Hi Meera2307,

Welcome to MySwissAlps! It's at Langstrasse 213, near the central train station (Zürich HB).

Anuja, you can Google or Yelp for - Indian food near me provided you have synced your smart phone to detect location.
I relied heavily on Google Maps for directions - bus, train, walking etc.

I am from USA and my carrier is T-MOBILE. Before leaving we added international for a fee.

My hubby and I have LTE on our phone.
We did not need SIM card.

Please read on SwissAlps. Talk to your phone carrier. Do some research. I will not be able to answer specifically to your location.

Thanks for the response. Of course it helps, if not directly

In Zermatt, we found that most restaurants had vegetarian options. Both the Stubli and Brown Cow in the Post hotel had quite a few options. You can get pizza and fondue at numerous places. Puro in the Cervo hotel had options too. There were soups and salads at the simple restaurants we could ski into as well as changes to the tasting menus--most of the restaurants had choices. At the more expensive restaurants, we made reservations well in advance and inquired about changes, etc.
