    Hello all,

We are interested in checking out the hiking trail recommended in this site. But we have a question: Is the trail as outlined on this forum marked with signage or is it necessary to have a map to find our way?

Does anyone know if any other stretches of the Lavaux area are marked with signage?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi O2bmmw,

It’s the below route you’re interested in, right?

    http://www.myswissalps.com/hi king/lutry-epesses

There are signs with the text “Terrasses de Lavaux”. See the Route section of the above page for that, and you’ll find a map there as well. I did this particular route without a paper map because it’s not in the mountains and it’s fairly easy to find your way even without a map. However, having some kind of (electronic) map is handy. You can check the map on our page through your phone if you’re in doubt while there.

    Have fun!

Thank you Arno. Yes, that’s the route. Can you walk that route on a weekday or is it recommended to only go on a weekend?

    Hi Hi O2bmmw,

I can’t see any reason not to go on a weekday – except the route might have less people on it. 🙂
