Purchasing the VIP reservations with the first class reservations already made has been a mystery. Where in the reservation process does RailEurope enable the reservation for the VIP seating? Not Clear at all and it seems to confuse other bloggers also. Any suggestions?

    Hi CDJr,

The VIP seats are available for 1st class only, and just for the leg Montreux to Zweisimmen, so be sure to keep that in mind when trying to find a seat. However, I don’t think Rail Europe lets you choose these seats (there are only 8 or so per train). Please check the Golden Pass page and specifically the link under “More on other websites” to contact the railways directly and book the seat.

here is a phone number I just got from RailEurope that will assist US travelers in reserving the VIP seats; once you book a first class reservation on the Zwiesimmen to Montreux Panorama train (leave it at “pending status”), you can call them at 1-800-622-8600 to request the VIP seating from their call center.
