    Hello,

My husband and 18 months old daughter will visit the “Schilthorn” next July. We’ll go up from Lauterbrunnen (where we’ll be staying) via Stechelberg and for the return we where thinking of taking the cable car down to Murren and then walk from there to Grütschalp. Is that walk possible?

Please note that I’ll be carrying my daughter on my back on a baby carrier. We’ve done this before on different hikes in Italy 🙂

Thank you so much for your advice!

    Mylene.

    Hi Mylene,

Yes, that walk would be pretty doable for you I think – and if you get tired you can hop on the train at Winteregg 1/2 way. Read more about the Mürren to Grütschalp hike here.

Murren to Grutschalp is an easy walk by alpine standards, and very scenic. I did it last summer (and in 1969 as a young boy…)
