Hi we are a small group arriving to Mt Pilatus in a mini bus. Is there a drop off lot or zone where that would happen? Some folks not doing Mt Pilatus and wondering when they departed the bus how far Lucerne city center would be for those that want to take in some sightseeing and lunch instead . How long would one expect to be to do Mt Pilatus and the toboggan too??

You can reach Pilatus either via Alpnachstad or Kriens. By car, Alpnachstad to Lucerne is roughly 20 mins, Kriens to Lucerne is less than 10 mins. There are places to park your vehicles at each spot.
You can find further details about how to get to Pilatus here: www.myswissalps.com/pilatus/gettingthere. Typically one would spend 1-2 hours at the top of Pilatus. Allocate extra time if you are planning to ride the toboggan and do a bit of hiking.
