We are in Basel for 2 days in September and from there would like to purchase 3 day consecutive pass. Our question: Does the pass start at 12 AM until 11:59 PM or when you first start your trip? For example If we start day at 9AM is it 24 hours from that time or 12AM of first day? I hope this makes sense. KW

Hi KitW and welcome to MySwissAlps!

Best to use an example: A 3 day Swiss Travel Pass (which is consecutive) that starts August 1 would expire August Aug 4 at 05:00 (to finish any late night train trips). It starts at 12am on August 1 no matter when you use buy it that day.

You can find online retailers to buy the Swiss Travel Pass here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/swisstravelpass/ price

It would be more convenient to buy the Swiss Travel Pass online. It can be emailed to you and printed at home (saving you time at the airport and giving you a copy to print out again in case you lose your pass).
