    Hi Slhq1122!

Which pass is best, depends on the exact details of your itinerary. If you want to be absolutely sure, you should make calculations as explained by Arno in your previous post. The Swiss Travel Pass Flex you’re referring to (myswissalps.com/swisst ravelpassflex) is an option indeed. You’d best pick the Swiss Travel Pass Combi variant in that case: myswissalps.com/swisst ravelpassflex/price. What’s covered is explained at myswissalps.com/swisst ravelpassflex/validity. You’d use free travel days for the longer trips, e.g. to Lucerne and Bern, and discounted days for local trips. Note that these discounts are only valid between your first and last free travel days.

A continuous 8 day Swiss Travel Pass would in all be more convenient: myswissalps.com/swisst ravelpass, as you won’t have to buy tickets for most of your trip and all regular trains, boats and buses are covered. You won’t have to decide which days to pick as ‘free travel days’, as you’d have to do with the Swiss Travel Pass Flex.

The Swiss Half Fare Card (myswissalps.com/swissh alffarecard) could turn out to be cheaper, but in that case you’ll have to buy 50% discounted tickets for all trips.

So it’s not only a matter of costs, but also of personal preference. Did you check the page Arno mentioned before? Just to make sure: myswissalps.com/train/ ticketspasses/practica l/chooserailpass. You can also download an overview comparing the passes and a calculation sheet there.

    Hi Slhq1122,

Sure, all trains, boats and buses are included, and mountain transport is discounted. You can find specifics on the Swiss Travel Pass page. Click to “Price”, “Discounts” and “Where it’s valid” to view all the details about the best retailers, promotions and what’s included in the pass. In your case your local retailer can be found on http://www.raileurope.com.sg/ pass/swiss-travel-pass-82.
