What to add to Stanserhorn for October day trip?

Hi DEs, we intend to visit Stanserhorn one afternoon in October by train from Lucerne. Is there anything else in the vicinity with easy access (by train/bus) from Stans that is worth a visit before returning to Lucerne? Please advise. Thank you.

From Stans, it takes less than 1 hour to get to Mt Pilatus. You can also travel to Hergiswil and visit its little glassmaking factory.
