Considering that I will be in Switzerland by June end …. what should be an ideal time to buy the Swiss travel Pass?

Should it be purchased online before entering the country or is it ok to purchase on arrival at the airport? Will the fares remain same irrespective of the date of purchase?

Hi Sanghvis,

The ideal time to buy is between now and a few working days before your departure, from any of the trusted websites listed here: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/price.

You can buy at the airport but that will take you more time. If you buy online you can print the pass at home, skip the ticket office, and board the first available train right away. Also you can print spare copies so it is basically impossible to loose your pass.

As you can see on the above link buying online is the same price or even slightly cheaper.

Delivery will be through e-mail, sometimes as quick as within 30 minutes, but nevertheless I recommend to not wait until 30 minutes before departure. Better safe than sorry.
