Hello!

So when I went to the sbb website and the stc and the happy trail they all didn’t have 25% off. I did however see a decent discount on the Eurorail website.

Does it matter is I buy it there? Also will they automatically give me a free family card for my 12 year old son?

My itinerary includes taking the train Geneva – Nyon- Geneva -Montreux – Gruyeres – Montreux – Lauterbrunnen – Geneva

with a few cable rides and boat trip to Yvoire from Nyon

Does this seem worth the Swiss Travel pass or should I just opt for the 50% off??

The fares almost are exactly the same if I were to just the 50% fare .

Any better benefits for getting the STP??

The Swiss Travel Pass promotion is now available on the STC link: https://shop.switzerlandtravelcentre.com/#/en/home

The Swiss Family Card is given complimentary with every purchase of the STP as explained here: http://www.myswissalps.com/swissfamilycard

For complete convenience and flexibility, I usually prefer the Swiss Travel Pass but sometimes the Swiss Half Fare Card works just fine too especially if you have a fixed itinerary. You can compare the various travelpass combinations using the “Quick rail pass overview” here: http://www.myswissalps.com/train/ticketspasses/practical/chooserailpass. A guide on choosing the best railpass can be found there as well.

Anna,

Do you have to complete the buying process to see the discount? I used your link but it doesn’t show or mention any discount. Or is the 232 for the STP the discounted price?

This may happen if you already have products in your shopping cart, that were added before the promotion was available. If that’s not it, please post a screenshot of your entire browser in our thread about the promotion, which is here: http://www.myswissalps.com/forum/topic/swiss-travel-pass-25-off-for-trips-in-20212022. Perhaps we can then figure out the problem. I do see the discounted prices immediately.

Thanks, Anna. The discounts are now showing up. Just wish it would apply to the half fare card because that’s all we’ll really need. We’ll only be in Switzerland for four days and we’ll be driving as well (Europe road trip).

Great site. Used it a lot when we were planning our doomed 2020 trip.
