Thank you again for taking the time to read more concerns of mine! You recommended on a previous post (http://www.myswissalps.com/fo rum/topic/white-christmas-10-day-family-trip-need-help) to get the Tell Winter Pass to travel around the Luzern area in winter, so we are going to do that because we have a small child.

We are traveling from December 22 to 28 so I wanted to know how many days my pass should be for since I don`t know if boat traveling o cable car rides and other means of transport close for the 24 and 25 Christmas holidays? Could you be so kind as to help me in order to make the most of my trip? And also should I stay in the city for sightseeing how many days?

Thank you sooo very much for your help!

    Hi Kooala,

I don’t believe talk about a Tell Pass came up on our last thread. I assume you checked the math and figured it is the least expensive option for you? It would make sense if you spend most/all of your time around Lucerne though.

You can read more about the Tell Pass Winter here: http://www.myswissalps.com/te llpasswinter – including how to buy online and what routes and attractions it covers (including boats and cable cars).

You shouldn’t have any issue traveling on Dec. 24 and 25. In fact, mountain visits are a good idea on holidays as most businesses in towns are closed.

Have you looked through our pages on what to do in Switzerland and what to do around Lucerne to help you make your travel plans? http://www.myswissalps.com/lu cerne/activities // http://www.myswissalps.com/ac tivities
