    Hello everyone,

I will visit Grindelwald on the 9th March. First time for me in Switzerland.

I am an experienced hiker. Hiked mainly in the UK.

I am planning a route for a winter hike on the 9th of march .

    I found 3 options:

    • First – Bachalpsee – Waldspitz- Bort

    • First – Bachalpsee- Faulhorn ( view point) – back to Bachalpsee – Waldspitz – Bort

    • First – Bachalpsee –Faulhorn – Bussalp – Grindelwald .

I would like to have suggestions on the aforementioned hikes.

    Which one you advise ?

Which one is the best of the three?

I am looking for spectacular views and a challenging day 🙂

    Thank you in advance

    Gabriele

    Hi Gabriele, welcome to MySwissAlps!

Those are groomed trails so should indeed be accessible even in winter if the weather is good. The entire area is wonderful, so you can’t really go wrong. I’d probably prefer the last one, but would take the bus from Bussalp to Grindelwald rather than walking.

    Have fun!

    Hello Arno,

    Thank you for your answer.

Do you reckon I have to wear snow shoes for the aforementioned hiking trails?

    Thank you

    Hi Gabriele,

Groomed trails are accessible with solid water proof hiking shoes. And a hiking pole would be convenient as well.
