In Zermatt there appear to be a few bridges across the Matter Vispa (one behind Sparky’s bar and restaurant). Are these pedestrian bridges?

Google maps takes me on a tortuous route around town and if I could use these bridges getting to my accommodation with luggage and later to restaurants would be a lot easier.

Most would be navigable on foot I would say. See attached example. Check out Google Street View.

As the streets in Zermatt are car free map directions web apps might not be able to suggest the correct route as they would in normal territory.

Take it from a Zermatt regular, all the streets in Zermatt are walkable (shared with the small electric buggy vehicles) including the bridges.

You will have zero problems walking around Zermatt with and without luggage
