Hello, hoping someone can help with the following query,

Am travelling to Zermatt for 2 weeks in August with 8 year old son. Have noticed from looking at Zermatt tourist website that if my son has a Junior rail card CH30- then he can travel free with an adult in Zermatt on all cable cars etc. When clarifying this with Zermatt tourist office via e-mail they said Junior rail card not required, a family card which is free will be enough. Does anyone have either first hand experience of this or good knowledge and can confirm which is correct.

    Many thanks

    John

    Hi John,

Which rail pass will the adults be using?

Adults will be using the Swiss transfer ticket combi.

    Thanks

    Hi John,

In that case, all you need for your son is a free Swiss Family Card. Details can be found here.
