We are traveling from paris to zermatt on may 18 then leaving on 21st for frankfurt. Some of the activities we plan on doing are skiing, paragliding, gornergrat, lifts. Just wondering which pass would be most cost efficient
Hello Labcat and Welcome to MySwissAlps,
The Saver Day Pass is probably the best price to get you to Zermatt. Maybe a Peak Pass once there. It really depends on your specific plans.
For the train to Frankfurt check www.bahn.com/en/view/index.shtml for the best fare for the whole trip.
See www.myswissalps.com/traintickets/france and www.myswissalps.com/traintickets/germany.
Thank you very much 🙂
Saver Day Passes are indeed a good option for your journeys from and to Zermatt: www.myswissalps.com/saverdaypass.
The combination with a Swiss Half Fare Card might work well. The Swiss Half Fare Card offers a 50% discount on many (mountain) trips near Zermatt and allows you to get discounted Saver Day Passes and a discounted Peak Pass. Please find details at www.myswissalps.com/swisshalffarecard. To make sure which option is best for your plans, you should run some calculations as explained at www.myswissalps.com/train/ticketspasses/practical/chooserailpass.
