Zermatt to Gornergrat – tickets in advance

    Hi,

    We are planning to visit Zermatt in April (23rd and 24th). Would like to take zermatt -gornegrat trip.

    We will be doing Mattrehorn Glacier paradise – 23rd and Zermatt Gornegra -24th

    Want to know do we need to book tickets for Gornegrat train in advance?

    How much time (in total) will be enough for this trip?

    Could you suggest any other excursion on the day

    It would be great if you can suggest any other places to visit in Zermatt.

    Hi Cajyotigupta and welcome to MySwissAlps!

    You don’t need to buy tickets in advance, but you can do so here if you wish.

    The trip up on the Gornergrat cogwheel train is about 3o minutes and you could spend the whole day there depending on what you want to do – have a meal, go for a hike etc.
