Hello,

we will be in Zurich 12/18-12/20 and wanted to go to a nearby mountain if possible. Is it early enough to tell if there will be a clear day during that time to visit a mountain? Also which day trip would you recommend? We were thinking Lucerne and mt. Titlis but are open to suggestions. Thanks!

Titlis is a good option for a mountain excursion from Zurich. You can find more information here: http://www.myswissalps.com/titlis

I usually check the weather a week before I travel but you can’t really rely on the forecast 100%. In Switzerland especially in the mountains the weather can change quickly. If you are visiting Titlis or any mountain for that matter, I suggest checking out the mountain webcams the day before or just before you start your journey.
