    Hi,

I will buy swiss travel pass during my stay in Swiss for about 8 days.

I believe that with the swiss travel pass, I can take Zurich Lake Cruise (long round trip from Burkliplatz to rapperswil) for free.

However, do i have to book the Zurch Lake Cruise in advance to make sure I do not miss it because it might get fully booked?

    Thank you.

    Hi GPOz,

It is not normally possible to make reservations on regular lake boats. You certainly won’t find any boats that have reserved seats unless you go on something like a dinner cruise with dining included. But then that wouldn’t be free with the Swiss Travel Pass.

Hello GPOz and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

Nice to hear you’re heading to Switzerland.

As stated by Rockoyster you normally can’t book a place on the boat on Lake Zurich. You simply hop on any boat, as it’s covered by the Swiss Travel Pass. I have in all my years in Zurich never experienced people not been let onto the boat because it’s booked out.
