I’ll be travelling around Switzerland spending one week in Grindelwald and 2 weeks in Gunten, visiting tourist attractions such as the Jungfraujoch along the way.

With this in mind, what is the most cost effective way to travel from Zurich to Grindelwald, Grindelwald to Gunten, then back to Zurich?

My snowboard will be travelling with me so any advice, guidance and recommendations is highly appreciated.

Hi enviou5, and welcome to MySwissAlps,

It depends on how much traveling and tourist attractions you have planned. Please have a look at “How to choose a Swiss rail pass“. It will help you do the math, which is the only way to know what the most economical option is for your specific plans.

You can carry your snowboard on the train. There is a basic luggage service which might be of your interest.
