I have purchased Eurail Austria & Switzerland pass and would like to know if whole trip Zurich to Zermatt is covered by pass? I understand Matterhorn Glacier Paradise is not covered.

    Hi Flurvin,

Yes, the whole trip Zürich to Zermatt by train is covered by a Eurail Pass that incudes Switzerland.

You can find out more by downloading the validity map from here:

    http://www.myswissalps.com/eu railselectpass/validit y

Make sure not to confuse dotted red lines with dashed red lines.

    • Dotted red lines indicate routes with discounted travel
    • Dashed red lines indicate tunnels, all of which are on routes covered for free travel with a Eurail Pass.

You are correct that Klein Matterhorn/Glacier Paradise is not covered at all with a Eurail Pass.
