    Hi,

we are travelling in August for 1 week and below are the itinerary details

Day 1 – Geneva to Lucerne and staying overnight

    Day 2 – Titlis

Day 3 – Lucerne to interlaken via Golden express and visiting Jungfraugh and staying at Stalden

Day 4 – Matterhorn and Gongerbat

Day 5 – Zermatt to St Moritz via Glacier Express and overnight stay at St Moritz

Day 6 – To Zurich and picking car rental

Day 7 – Rhine falls and driving to Germany

From the above travel plan, can you let me know which train i have to reserve? Glacier express and golden pass or anything else?

Will there be long queue at the counter?

    whether my plan is doable?

Is it better to book online titlis, jungfaugh and Matterhorn or will the price be same if i book from there?

Attached is my rough calculation for comparing passes

Hi Sinsi and welcome to MySwissAlps!

You only need to reserve the Glacier Express train: https://www.myswissalp s.com/glacierexpress/p ackages

You’re plan looks quite doable yes. Prices are the same booked online or at the rail station.

It looks like you’ve used the half fare prices as your regular prices on the Excel sheet. And some fares look much too low unless you found a Super Saver ticket price? IE Geneva to Lucerne should be about 74chf not 18chf

The first fare you see is the Swiss Half Fare Card price. Double it for the regular fare.
Be sure to read the instructions on our timetable page: https://www.myswissalp s.com/timetable.

    Hi Lucas,

Thank you pointing out my mistake. I have corrected and updated the excel with corrected price and now going for the 8 days travel pass looks good.

Also noted staying at stalden is adding up expense to travel to Zermatt.

Aug 19 we will travel to Germany and to Prague and Austria and again we are returning to swiss to take Beenina express from Chur to Tirano.

Now the question we will not get discounted price with 8 day pass unless we are aoptong flexi pass or half day pass.

Can you have a look at updated file so that we can confirm ticket rates amd finalize pass.

sorry i am not able to remove the wrong attachment

    correct one is final-1

    Hi Sinsi,

I took a quick look andsome seem correct but others not.

Kleine Scheidegg to Jungfraujoch is not 207chf though – should be 76chf 1-way. Interlaken to Kleine Scheidegg is not 10chf either.
You found those prices on the timetable like all the others?

Your trip to Jungfraujoch is free until Wengen or Grindelwald. https://www.myswissalp s.com/swisstravelpass/ validity then 25% off from there to Jungfraujoch.

You need to check the price from either of those towns to Jungfraujoch on the timetable as normal to find prices.

Also look at Luzern to Interlaken (16.50 is the 1/2 fare rate not the regular fare you list it as).

    Hi,

We have finalized to opt for swiss travel pass flex for 8 days. Our itinerary for Europe is for 17 days. Starting with Paris and ending at Rome. We area staying at Swiss for 7 days during Aug 13 to Aug 19 and travelling to other countries in car and returning to Swiss on 23rd Aug to take Bernina express to Tirano. we should have opted to go to other countries drom paris and return to swiss so that we could have opted swiss travel pass for 8 days and saved 45 CHF per person.

Is there difference between both the passes in getting mountain excursion discount? When i am searching for Matterhorn i am not getting discount with flex pass from below site.

    shop.swissrailways.com /excursionmatterhorn.h tml?language =en&currency=CHF

    Hi Sinsi,

You get 50% off with your Swiss Travel Pass Flex on Gornergrat and Klein Matterhorn/Glacier Paradise in Zermatt.

Not every company online offers the Swiss Travel Pass (Flex) discount for every mountain. You can get the tickets to Gornergrat online here with your Swiss Travel Pass Flex (same as Swiss Travel Pass): https://www.myswissalp s.com/gornergrat/packa ges

    Hi,

    Thank you.

First day we will be reaching swiss from Paris around 12:30 pm. Planning to take golden pass roue from Geneva to Lucern as mentioned in the page and in opposite direction

    http://www.myswissalps.com/go ldenpass

Montreux to Zweisimmen to Interlaken to Lucerne

Read that it will take around 5 hours.

How to reach Montreux from Geneva.. boat or train ? Which will be more scenic? Also we can cover chillon castle. And if taking boat how many hours it will take?

Do we have to reserve seats for Montreux to Zweisimmen?

A boat from Geneva to Montreux will add too much time to your day.

If you are getting to Geneva at 12:30 you won’t get to Montreux until 13:30-14:00 if going by train. Then 5 hours to Luzern… without stopping at Chillon castle or taking the boat to Montreux.

Look at a boat trip on Lake Luzern another day instead. https://www.myswissalp s.com/boatlakelucerne

I would reserve seats between Montreux and Zweisimmen yes. https://www.myswissalp s.com/goldenpass/packa ges

If it doesn’t specify a date then you would be fine on any day.

No tickets are needed for children on the Swiss Family Card.
