It would be great to hear from someone regarding getting to the Zermatt bound train in daytime after arriving at Geneva airport (international flight). Approximately how long does it take to get to the train and are directions clear? Thank you!

Dead easy. Get a train directly from the airport to Visp and change to the train for Zermatt. See http://www.myswissalps.com/airports/geneva.

Geneva airport – Zermatt is a standard itinerary take by millions of tourists each year, including me and a former England Cricket captain.

Come out of the airport terminal building and turn left. You enter the Airport railway station, about 5 minutes walk. It will take you about another 2 – 3 minutes to check the departure screens for the next available train destination Brig. You then reach the platforms by going down an escalator. Genève Aéroport – Brig trains (route IR90) run twice per hour, departing the airport at xx.02 and xx.20
