I’m trying to travel from Montreux to Zermatt via the Golden Pass to Spiez on Aug. 13, but the timetable on this site only shows the train stopping there on the 7:44 a.m. option. Is that correct? I was hoping to take the 9:44 train. The SBB site shows a number of different options, but none are listed as the Golden Pass option.

Hi Syd, and welcome to MySwissAlps!

When you say you used the timetable on this site, did you use the one on the right with the SBB logo?

The 9:44 departure seems to do what you want. I have attached an itinerary generated from the Swiss Timetable. The route I searched also incorporates the Lötschberg mountain route between Spiez and Brig, rather than the 34 km Lötschberg-Basistunnel.

Many thanks, Alpenrose. I appreciate your help and reassurance. That’s good news!
