We would appreciate any information about staying in Wengen as a base and hiking experiences from there and around the area. We are planning on being in Switzerland the first week of September and plan to hike/experience this beautiful place for about 9 days. Yes, we do plan to purchase a Swiss Travel Pass, but we are also wondering if we will still have to pay some costs to ride specific buses or cable cars or gondolas. Any information about your hiking experiences during this time of the year near Wengen would be very helpful.
