Actually it does operate in Switzerland but you have to “enter” the site as if you are from another country. I use the UK so it is in English. Here is an example of ride offer from the Geneva airport to Montreux.

FYI: This was the response from BlaBlaCar to my question about their service in Switzerland

“Thank you for your email.

Our members can book and offer rides anywhere in the world. The countries you can choose from are where we’re officially present. Even if Switzerland isn’t among those countries, you can still carpool there and book your rides online.
