Hi Neetha, and welcome to MySwissAlps!
>> Me and my husband are traveling to Interlaken for 4 days . We are interested in visiting the Alps and need help for the same. Need help regarding the itinerary for 4 days. Which other regions around Interlaken is an option considering the time frame
>> Additionally need help with respect to commuting between places
Alpine destinations close to Interlaken include:
> the Jungfraujoch (train)
> the Schilthorn (train+cable car+train+cable car; or train+bus+cable car)
> Schynige Platte (train)
> Grindelwald-First (gondola from Grindelwald)
> Männlichen (cable car from Wengen or gondola from Grindelwald)
> the beautiful villages of Wengen (train), Mürren (train+cable car+train; or train+bus+cable car) and Grindelwald (train).
A boat trip on Lake Brienz or Lake Thun would also be a good idea.
So transport between destinations in the Jungfrau Region is by train, cable car/gondola, bus or boat, depending on where you are going.
>> and the necessary pass to be bought.
It won’t be possible to advise on a pass until you have decided on an itinerary, and know how much travel you will be doing within Switzerland by train, bus, cable car and boat, and whether you are also travelling in any neighbouring countries.
>> I have heard of Golden pass rail to which place from Interlaken do we board it.
The Golden Pass trains to Montreux leave from Interlaken Ost station, mostly platform 8 (but you will need to check the platform for your particular service).
