    Dear all,

We spent 8 wonderful days in Switzerland and just got back last Sunday. The places we visited are Lucerne, Interlaken and Zermatt.

My wife and I (we are in our 70’s) and with our son and grandkids. An extended family of seven.

6 June 2018- Started our adventure from Perth Western Australia.

8 June 2018- First up, landed in London for five days.

12 June 2018- By train to York and stayed for four days. Our son went to Liverpool while we were in York.

15 June 2018- By train to Edinburgh and Inverness to meet up for self drive tour with son and family.

19 June 2018- By air to Barcelona and son and family went to Munich.

    22 June 2018- 5 days in Barcelona.

26 June 2018- By train to Lyon.

29 June 2018- By train to Geneva for train connection to Lucerne to meet up with son and family.

29 June 2018- Lucerne, start of our Swiss adventure.

Visited Mt Pilatus in Lucerne, Jungfrau and Schiltorn in Interlaken and Matterhorn in Zermatt.

All this while in Switzerland we traveled on the Swiss Travel Pass. This is absolutely the most convenient and cheapest way to travel in Switzerland. Beautiful country. what a scenery. People are friendly and eager to assist and guide you to the correct places. It is so relax and we see happy faces all around. Why would they want to live anywhere else. Related our adventures to friends and rellies who are now raring to visit Switzerland.

In our 70’s now, we thought we may not be able to “ascent” to the four mountains but surprised ourselves that we made it. The weather was conducive and with friendly help around, it made our adventure even more enjoyable and memorable. Here’s to SWITZERLAND!

Thank you all for all the tips and advice. Kudos to MySwissAlps.com

    Signing off for now.

    Hi Kenneth,

Thanks for the report on your trip! Glad to hear everything went smoothly and you had a good time. 🙂

Did you visit one of the mountains in Zermatt for Matterhorn views? Gornergrat or Klein Matterhorn?

    Hi Lucas,

We only went as far up toTrockener Steg. My fingers were swollen when I was up in Jungfrau which is why I did not want to risk it at Matterhorn. However, we had a very good view of the Matterhorn and had some fun with whatever snow left at Trockener. Totally enjoyed the day what Zermatt had offered. It made our day. A very memorable journey.

Thank you all and much appreciate the interaction on MyswissAlps.com

    kind regards.
