Can I visit Aescher restaurant in late Dec?

Short summary – read this first

A traveler named Kellyzoena plans to visit a restaurant in winter and is unsure if it’s feasible due to snow and maintenance. She wants to take a cable car and is seeking advice on whether the restaurant will be accessible and if there are alternative hiking routes during her trip.

Key takeaways:
  • The cable car to Ebenalp is closed for maintenance from late November to late December, so the restaurant isn’t a suitable destination at that time.
  • If the cable car isn’t running, consider hiking to Seealpsee as an alternative; the trail starts at Wasserauen and is mostly on asphalt, though some parts are steep.
  • Check the restaurant’s operational status in December, as it may not be open during low season.

I would love to visit the restaurant, understand that the restaurant is closed and its gonna cover in snow.

Can anyone who visited it in winter let me know please, if this is a feasible way to travel there?

My plan is to take the cable car up and return trip. On website, it is noted that there would be 15-20 min. walks.

As long as I see the restaurant I would be happy.

    Thanks in advance!
