    Greetings !

I and my family (including 2 children) will be arriving at Montreux on 13 Dec and after spending the first half of 14 Dec in Montreux, we will be leaving for Interlaken in the afternoon. We will of course like to experience the Golden Pass Panoramic VIP seating. From the timetable, it seems that the train only departs at 3.44pm.

My question is “will it be too to have any good sunlight for the sighting during the train the journey” if the train departs at 3.44pm in mid-Dec. What is my alternative if the answer is “No”. Thanks !

Sorry, I mean “will it be too late in the evening to have good sunlight for sight-seeing during the train journey” if the train departs at 3.44pm in mid-Dec.

Hello mscheong! Sun sets about 5 pm at this time of the year, so part of the trip you’ve planned will take place in twilight or darkness. Earlier connections are available; please refer to the schedules mentioned at the Golden Pass website.

Hello Annika, thanks for the very helpful reply, looks like we have to take the earlier train.
