I plan to visit Jungfraujoch, but can’t decide whether to stay in Grindelwald or Interlaken? read in some of the forums that Grindelwald is more scenic. What would you recommend?

I also checked on the hotel list at Myswissalps but can’t find any info.

    Hi Bill,

I suppose you clicked to the Interlaken page from that hotel page as well? That page lists how to get to rail station Interlaken Ost from each hotel, and also that it is the (main) starting point to get to the Jungfraujoch.

Grindelwald is on the way from Interlaken to the Jungfraujoch, and so are Wilderswil, Lauterbrunnen, Wengen, and a bunch of smaller towns. If you prefer a central and more lively location, pick Interlaken. There are hotels with mountain view rooms as well. If you prefer to be close to nature and start hiking directly from your hotel, pick one of the other towns.
