Jungfrau-sphinx lift

I went to Jungfrau from the Klein-scheidegg with the mountain-train in July 2013.
I have visited the amazing plateau(outside) and the ice-palace(with animal sculptures).
I’ve read that there is a lift to Sphinx which goes up 108 meter within 25 seconds sothat you can have a nice view(outside). I haven’t found the lift.
Can you tell me where is the lift ? When is it open to the public/tourists?
I’m wondering at which floor I’ve missed the lift, or is it not accessable anymore? A friend wants to know it for 2014.

(This was my route when I got off the train:
A:turn left at the main hall, pass the souvenir-shop and the toilets,
B:get up the steps, pass the picknick-floor
    C:get upstairs, pass the self-service-floor,
D:the next floor up is the floor with the plateau and ice-palace)

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Diana,

I think the lift is one of the first things you encounter while walking from the rail station towards the glacier exit (see the map). There has been a reconstruction of the main hall recently that I haven’t seen yet myself, but it should not be hard to find the lift. Just follow the signs to the Sphinx observatory or ask the personnel. I hope this helps!
