If the boat ride is free and it has first and second class, how does your rail pass translate to which class you can use on the boat?

    Thanks

Hello maslro, and thank you for joining MySwissAlps!

With a 1st class rail pass, you can use first class boat decks. With a 2nd class rail pass, you can use second class boat decks. By the way, most boats have a 1st class deck, but not all.

If you have a 2nd class rail pass but want to make a 1st class boat ride, you can buy an upgrade ticket before boarding. Just show your rail pass and explain your wishes at the boat dock’s ticket corner.

More information about boat rides can be found here. Does this answer your question?
