On September 1st we will be traveling from Bern Switzerland to Freudenstadt Germany. Can we use the Swiss pass for this travel. At what point would we have to switch to a German train and pay for that?

    Hi Pat127,

The Swiss Travel Pass will cover your trip until the German border. You can check what train is best to take on the timetable here.
You will probably go via Basel so your Swiss Travel Pass will cover you until then so you will need a ticket from Basel on to Freudenstadt.

You can buy one ticket to cover the whole route (Basel to Freudenstadt) so you just have to change trains in Basel and again later in Germany but you won’t need to buy tickets before boarding a new train.
