Hello – We have purchased a Swiss flex pass and would like to know how we can utilize it for our trip from Lauterbrunnen to Salzburg. How do we use our pass as far as we can before we go to Austria? I do not want to have to purchase a ticket for the whole trip if possible. Upon return we are coming from Rothenburg to Brienz. Thank you.

    Hi Canuckgirl,

You will need to buy a ticket for the trip section outside of Switzerland. When traveling on that route, the Swiss border town you will probably pass through is Buchs (near Liechtenstein).

You will need to buy a ticket from there to Salzburg. There is no need to change trains or get off at Buchs you just need the pass and a ticket to cover the whole trip. (you can buy the ticket online here).
