Zermatt - hotel near train station and restaurants

Which area in Zermatt would you recommend staying? We are skiing for 1 day at the Matterhorn Ski Paradise but would like to be accessible to train station and center of town with restaurants. I have a reservation in the vicinity of the Hotel Ambassador Zermatt but not sure if that location is ideal. Thanks.

I think that's a prefect location if you prefer quick access to the train station and restaurants.

For your information, Zermatt is a fairly small resort town. You can basically explore it on foot in less than half a day.
